ASSIGN SURVIVAL PROJECT: (IDENTIFY R.A.F.T.)
This project can be in any format you would like (short story, movie, PowerPoint, poster, pamphlet, walkie-talkie recording, podcast, cell phone video recording… your creative choice). You will present your project on Tuesday, September 8, 2009. It’s length must be between 2-3 minutes. The general topic must be survival, but you can be creative in how specifically you would like to narrow your topic. For example, you may want to create a pamphlet with general survival tips for distribution in a mountain climbing school (R: organization educating, A: mountain climbers, F: pamphlet, T: general survival tips), or you may want to create a movie of someone caught in a raging river (be creative!) that was caught on tape by a news helicopter (R: television cameraman documenting/informing, A: American citizens, F: news video, T: raging river survivor). Those are just two ideas; you create your own way to analyze and share your thoughts on the issue of survival that we read about and discussed this week! Then write a well-developed paragraph evaluating how you synthesized those aspects of survival into your project.
